Neighbourhood Plan: your questions answered

We will all soon have the chance to vote in a (very) local referendum which will decide whether or not to adopt a Neighbourhood Plan. The plan has been worked on for the past 2 years by the Penn Parish Council with input from residents and it is our chance to say what we want from planning and development proposals in our village. We can choose not to adopt the plan but then our voice will have less weight in planning decisions at a time when there is a big push to build lots more homes.
There is an drop-in meeting on Thursday 27th Feb at the Winchmore Hill Memorial Hall where local councillors will be on hand to explain more and answer all your questions about the plan. The meeting is from 5pm - 7pm and there are similar meetings in the other villages in our parish. To find out more, just come to the Hall on Thursday or you can visit https://www.ppnp.online/ for lots more detail and the specifics of the plan.
Voting is on 13th March and you should have already received a polling card in the post. The referendum is our chance to join the many other communities around the country who have adopted Neighbourhood Plans. The Residents' Association is very supportive of the plan and members will be voting for it. We hope you will join us.
